The video game combines six family board games including Connect Four, Boggle, Yahtzee, Battleship, Sorry! and Sorry! Sliders.

In addition to the gameplay choices, Hasbro Family Game Night allows players to customize their in-game digital environment. Each player can decorate his or her own digital game room with items such as earned trophies, furniture and room accessories.
