In the period, the company reached a gross profit of CNY 333.3 million or USD 47.7 million, surging 35.3% over a year earlier; a net profit of CNY 17.4 million or USD 2.5 million, plummeting CNY 9.6 million; an operating profit of CNY 234.8 million, rising 29.7%; and sales cost of CNY 382.9 million or USD 54.8 million, going down 52.1%.
In addition, it hit earnings per share of CNY 0.49 or USD 0.07 in the period, climbing CNY 0.16 versus the comparable period of 2007; and a gross margin of 46.5%, compared to 23.6% in the previous year.
