"RLL has ceased to be a promoter group company of Fortis Healthcare with effect from November 7," the Fortis Healthcare said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Following this, shareholding of RLL in the company would be covered under the public shareholding category, it added.
On November 7, RLL had informed the bourse that Daiichi Sankyo had acquired the shareholding of Malvinder Mohan Singh and Shivinder Mohan Singh, including their relatives and entities controlled by them, and as a result of which, the Singh family ceased to be the promoters of RLL.
In June, Daiichi Sankyo had entered into an agreement to buy out the promoters' stake of 34.8 per cent and subsequently made an open offer for a 20 per cent stake at Rs 737 per share, involving an amount of Rs 220 billion.
After completion of the acquisition process, Daiichi Sankyo's overall holding in Ranbaxy stands at 63.92 per cent.
