The company said that its direct-touch sales team in Israel had worked closely with channel partner Harel Computers and Communication LTD to win the business. The contract involves the deployment of 3Com Switch 8800 modular core switches, Switch S7900E modular core switches and Switch5500, 4800, 4500 and 4200 stackable switches and also the 3Com IMC integrated, intelligent, end-to-end management platform. 3Com will also provide 24x7 4-hour on-site hardware replacement throughout the entire duration of the contract, with training and certification of 150 GOI system engineers across the country.
No specific financial details were disclosed, but 3Com said that it is a 'multi-year', 'multi-million dollar contract'.
