InXpo, a provider of Virtual Events and resulting Virtual Communities, is producing the interactive events for Agilent Technologies. Participants will be able to chat live with Agilent experts, network with others in their field, watch product demos, download application notes and attend a live webcast, all without leaving their offices.
The first Agilent Virtual Expo will be held on Dec. 10, and will showcase a range of products, from handheld multi-meters to high-performance oscilloscopes and the latest technology advancements in RF and digital test. Agilent has four events planned over the next year.
"Offering our customers the chance to be part of an online Agilent community meets the need for more flexible access to our experts and product information," said Donna Majcen, senior marketing manager for Agilent Technologies. "Our customers regularly use the Internet for their information needs, so attending a Virtual Expo four times a year is a natural extension of the tools we're already providing them."
"Like many smart companies, Agilent Technologies is using cutting-edge, Web 2.0-based technologies as a cost-effective platform for interaction with their customers," said Malcolm Lotzof, CEO of InXpo. "Agilent also is creating efficiencies for their customers, since they'll be saving on the cost of travel and lodging by attending a virtual trade show that doesn't take them away from the office."
While the live, virtual events will last one business day, the presentations, demos, application notes and other content will be archived and available to the online community 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Agilent experts will continue the interactive dialogue long after the live events are held, the groups noted in a release.
