The additional investment will be pumped into LG's product promotions in China, like investing more in TV advertising. Besides, LG is expected to have more than 13,000 distribution outlets in China in the coming year, compared with more than 7,000 now. And it intends to launch over 60 new products in the Chinese market next year.
An LG top executive stated that LG was still optimistic about the Chinese economic development and it was confident of its Chinese market, although the whole world was troubled by the serious financial crisis now.
Most companies are cautious about their investments, but LG chooses to add investment into its well-known brands and core products, in an attempt to push up the company's influence in the Chinese electronics market.
