GLEN COVE, N.Y., Dec 17, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- COPI | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- --One-Stop Source For Canadian Teleservices Industry Professionals

Call Compliance Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Compliance Systems Corporation (OTCBB: COPI), a developer of technology-based compliance solutions for the teleservices industry, has launched the "Canadian Do Not Call Regulatory Guide," with the American Teleservices Association (ATA) The Guide is a comprehensive online tool summarizing the rules and regulations governing businesses that engage in telemarketing to Canadian residents. This newest guide complements other existing ATA Online Guides--the USA Regulatory Guide and the State Registration Guide--all available for purchase at www.ataresourcecenter.com, with a significant discount offered to ATA members.

The introduction of the Canadian Regulatory Guide comes soon after the passage of new Canadian Do-Not-Call (DNC) rules. As of September 30, 2008, companies calling into Canada targeting residents must now comply with a series of DNC and related telephone solicitation laws, or face potential fines of up to $1,500 for individuals and $15,000 for corporations. The Canadian Law closely mirrors many of the United States' DNC rules.

The Canadian Regulatory Guide is believed to be the only source that provides companies, who telemarket to Canadian residents, a compilation of the new telemarketing rules as well as email alerts to subscribers alerting them of rule changes. Authored by Calgary, Alberta attorney Daniel Pichette, Partner, Schinnour Matkin Baxter & Pichette, the guide summarizes Canadian Do-Not-Call laws by category such as registration requirements, prohibitions, and exemptions. It also includes "live" links to the actual rules and pertinent statutory text.

"The Canadian Regulatory Guide allows teleservices professionals to focus on their business, knowing their call center processes are fully compliant with the recently enacted DNC laws. They always have the latest DNC rules and regulations governing their industry at their fingertips," says Dean Garfinkel, CEO of Compliance Systems. "We were the first company to introduce online comprehensive regulatory compilations to the teleservices industry with our U.S.-based federal and state DNC guides. Given the recent passage of Canadian DNC laws, we are excited to launch this new guide with the ATA and attorney Dan Pichette."

"The American Teleservices Association is pleased to provide this tool to our members. The new Canadian Regulatory Guide provides timely information with respect to the new laws which certainly impact anyone doing business in Canada," says Tim Searcy, Chief Executive Officer of ATA. "This offering expands our relationship with Call Compliance Inc., in providing yet another excellent resource to ensure legitimate business in our industry."
