The four lines built in the third construction phase enable China Sunergy to expand its production capacity up to 320 MW, and increase its solar cell production lines up to ten. Included are five high efficiency SE solar cells lines, four HP solar cells lines and one foe common P-type multicrystalline silicon solar cells line.
China Sunergy started mass production of high efficiency SE solar cells in January 2008.
It recorded 19 percent conversion efficiency of N-typed solar cells in laboratory in the third quarter of 2008, and plans to begin commercial production of H-typed solar cells in the end of 2009.
