National Lampoon Inc hires David Tornek to take over vacant directorship

PowerRating -- National Lampoon Inc (NYSE Alternext US: NLN), a media and
entertainment company, revealed on 26 December that the company's
director Paul Skjodt resigned on 19 December 2008 and that the vacancy
will be filled by David Tornek.

A CPA, Tornek is licensed in Colorado and has an experience of over two
decades, working for Cohen and Cohen, a Denver accounting firm, doing
basic accounting and audit support during his college days and then
joining Smith, Brooks and Bolshoun, which specialised in providing
accounting services to clients in the hospitality and construction
industries, doing auditing, tax and business accounting as the
accounting manager. Tornek joined Century Management Group as its chief
financial officer thereafter, a private company that owned and managed
restaurants and nightclubs besides real estate holdings, becoming its
partner in 1995 and its chief operating officer concurrently.

In 2000, Century Management Group expanded to Florida where Tornek
managed the operations in Colorado and Florida. The same year, Tornek
opened Touch Restaurant in Miami Beach, Florida leaving Century
Management Group in 2004 and starting Touch Catering with his partner,
Sean Brasel in 2005. His second catering business was launched the
following year, Kosher Touch Catering and in November 2008 he opened
his second restaurant in Miami Beach, Meat Market Steakhouse.
