The report, quoting an unnamed source, said Air China was expected to get more funding than China Eastern Airlines Co. (CEA.NYSE) and China Southern Airlines Co. (ZNH.NYSE).
China Eastern Airlines said Tuesday it would obtain a total of 7 billion yuan funding.
China Southern Airlines indicated earlier that its parent company, China Southern Air Holding Co., would use the subsidy of 3 billion yuan from the Ministry of Finance to purchase new shares issued by its listing unit.
The three companies have incurred huge losses this year, dragged by losses in fuel oil hedging trade and globally slumping demand. Enditem
