The official disclosed that restructuring between China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines has been favored by the government, mainly by SASAC of Shanghai.
Both China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines are not very active in advancing the restructuring. So far a detailed plan of SASAC is still yet to be formulated, according to the official.
After China Eastern obtained 7 billion yuan of capital injection from government earlier and changed its top leaders, market saw its restructuring with Shanghai Airlines come nearer.
But Luo Zhuping, board secretary of China Eastern, reiterated that the restructuring issue hasn't arrived to the company level.
