Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd appoints Umang Vohra as chief financial officer

Jan 05, 2009 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- RDY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd (NYSE:RDY), a pharmaceutical company, declared on 2 January that the company has promoted Umang Vohra to the position of CFO from deputy CFO. Saumen Chakraborty, who has been CFO of the company for the past 30 months, has been appointed to the newlyAcreated role of president, corporate and global generics operations.

Vohra joined Dr. Reddy's in 2002 and has more than 13 years experience across various finance and corporate development functions. Previously, he has served at Eicher and PepsiCo. A Chakraborty brings to the company over 24 years of experience in strategic and operational aspects of management and joined Dr. Reddy's in 2001 as the global head of HR. HeAwas promoted to CFO in 2006.
