The nonprofit Texas Health, which is based in Arlington and operates the Harris Methodist and Arlington Memorial hospitals, opened the Denton facility in 2005 in conjunction with Triad Hospitals.
After Nashville, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems acquired Triad in 2007, Texas Health asked to buy out its new partner.
The two companies, which have been battling in court since then, revealed their settlement Monday but did not disclose how much Texas Health agreed to pay for the hospital stake.
If the deal is finalized as expected, Texas Health will become the Denton hospital's sole owner by the end of March.
