The combined sales price of USD175m will result in a gain of USD13m.
"It applies to all six vessels that NORDEN has taken over the vessels by declaring options to purchase and that the purchase options have been used for the purpose of reselling the vessels. NORDEN is expected to take delivery of the vessels in the first or second quarter of 2009 and will deliver the vessels to the new owners immediately after receipt," D/S Norden said in a stock exchange announcement.
D/S Norden, headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, is an international dry cargo and tankers operator with an own fleet of 77 vessels, as well as 58 chartered vessels. The company has over 500 employees and reported revenue of USD2.93bn in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.45 US dollars (USD).
