A 14-year-old Hudson's Bay High School student and a 13-year-old and 14-year-old Gaiser Middle School student were taken into custody Monday on investigation of 35 tire slashings.
Deputies arrested the teens after receiving a tip. According to a bulletin from the sheriff's office, a knife believed used in the slashings was found in the home of one of the suspects.
Deputies were dispatched at 7:50 a.m. Sunday to a tire slashing at the Cherry Wood Park Apartment complex, 3425 N.E. 53rd St. in the St. Johns area. They discovered numerous vehicles at the apartment complex had been victimized.
More 911 calls came in and more victims were found along Northeast 44th Street between St Johns Road and 50th Avenue and on 50th Avenue north of 44th Street.
In addition, Vancouver police discovered slashed tires at Wolf's Service Center, 3206 N.E. 52nd St. Three service trucks each had all four tires slashed at Wolf's.
