Jan 06, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- TULLF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- IPC, a provider of communications for the global financial markets, said that it has enhanced its status as one of Tullett Prebon's preferred global suppliers of Trader Services with the announcement of a state-of-the-art business continuity solution to safeguard Tullett Prebon's entire London trader communications infrastructure.

The business continuity solution features fully managed optical connectivity between Tullett Prebon's central London trading floor and its disaster recovery site in Kent, affording flexibility to move all or part of the trading floor connectivity within hours. Trading can be conducted from either site or both sites simultaneously and can remain completely transparent to end-user clients. This business-critical installation follows on from the successful completion of a global agreement between IPC and Tullett Prebon.

IPC and Tullett Prebon have a long-standing partnership in providing world-class customer service. Tullett Prebon is a leading interdealer broker proving voice and electronic trading services to its clients. IPC is one of the primary providers of trader communications services to Tullett Prebon over its secure and resilient global network, focused solely on new service development to improve trading productivity and efficiency. IPC's business continuity infrastructure solution enables Tullett Prebon to use its disaster recovery site as a production site, thereby eliminating the need for scheduled testing and ensuring normal operations from any location.

"Our trust in IPC's services to support our fast-paced IDB business resulted in the selection of IPC to provide a fail-safe business continuity solution to assure we can service our customers from multiple locations in any compromised situation," said Darren Coombes, CTO EMEA & Asia of Tullett Prebon. "The new infrastructure gives us a competitive advantage by having the flexibility to move between locations and conduct business transparently."

The new solution allows the entire trading communications inventory to be switched between sites within hours from IPC's Global Solution Operations Centre. Proactive management of the infrastructure and the inventory of approximately 3,000 circuits assure all client connections as well as the internal hoot and holler services have the highest availability possible.

"We are delighted to have been selected by Tullett Prebon to provide our advanced business continuity solution", said Marianne Leitch, senior vice president of IPC Network Services. "We value our relationship with Tullett Prebon and have tailored our services and support model to enable them to exceed their business goals now and in the future."
