A part of the investment also includes the opening of a new Verizon Lifestyle Store inside Jordan's Furniture in Reading, creating a number of new sales and customer service jobs.

The company also said that Verizon Wireless, a provider of wireless voice and data network and a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) and Vodafone (NYSE:VOD)(LSE: VOD), has reportedly invested over USD2.2bn in its New England wireless network since 2000, including over USD100m during the first six months of 2008.
