December 31, 2008, Margaret Whitman, a director of eBay Inc. (the "Company"), notified the Company that she would resign from the Company's Board of Directors effective immediately. Ms. Whitman's position with the Company as Special Advisor to the President and CEO also terminated as of December 31, 2008. PROCTER AND GAMBLE SETTLE PATENT SUIT
The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG)is trading down 1.62% at a PE of 16.31 following the Company's January 6, 2008 announcement that it and Fruit of the Earth have reached a settlement in the lawsuit P&G filed on December 12, 2007 against Fruit of the Earth for trade dress and patent infringement on its Olay Regenerist brands.
