Aqua Scandik will use the LifeTop Cap bottle closure to launch flavoured water with the probiotic bacillus Lactobacillus reuteri.
"Mexico is one of the world's largest drinks markets and we are very happy to be able to initiate a collaboration with Aqua Scandik to launch LifeTop Cap with L reuteri on this very exciting market," commented Staffan Palsson, president of CapAble.
CapAble signed a similar agreement with the US health drink company Mass Probiotics LLC in December 2008.
The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
BioGaia, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, develops and sells products based on the probiotic bacillus Lactobacillus reuteri. The company has 39 employees and reported net sales of SEK106.6m in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 12.02 Swedish kronor (SEK).
