Officers were called to the bank, 860 Second Ave. SE, about noon, after a 6-foot-tall black man with a stocky build came in with a note that demanded money.
The suspect, who was in his late 30s to early 40s and wearing a dark blue parka and dark-colored pants, didn't display a weapon and no one was hurt, police said.
The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Police ask anyone with information to call them at (319) 286-5400 or (319) 286-5348.
