MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan 19, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
IBM | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- LinkedIn today announced a partnership with IBM's Lotus to integrate
LinkedIn's functionality and networking capabilities with Lotus
Notes, Lotus Connections and the just announced LotusLive.com. This will
be the first integration to date between a world leader in enterprise
collaboration and the largest global professional network.

The companies will work together to provide Lotus customers, including
Lotus Notes users, new ways to interact with their trusted professional
network. Professionals will be able to safely and efficiently start web
meetings, add business context to e-mail senders, and learn more about
collaborators, colleagues, potential partners and prospects through
integrated LinkedIn profiles.

"There has been significant demand from companies seeking to increase
enterprise productivity by leveraging LinkedIn's powerful network of
professionals," said Reid Hoffman, chairman and CEO of LinkedIn.
"Today's announcement represents a step forward in addressing that need."

"Finding, connecting and collaborating with people and information you
can trust is essential to working smarter and maximizing productivity in
the workplace," said Bob Picciano, general manager of Lotus Software at
IBM. "The Lotus partnership with LinkedIn will allow us to collectively
provide direct, easy and fast access to both the information and the
collaborative services people need to drive better business outcomes."

"LinkedIn's collaboration with Lotus will bring professional network
productivity into enterprise applications," said Ellen Levy, vice
president of corporate development and strategy of LinkedIn. "The
workplace of tomorrow will bring 'networked productivity' to
professionals, both within and beyond the firewall."

LinkedIn plans to integrate with three key products in the Lotus
portfolio, bringing Web 2.0 professional networking capabilities to each
component. Additionally, LotusLive will bring its collaboration
capabilities to professionals on LinkedIn.

Lotus Notes - By integrating
LinkedIn into Lotus Notes, users can add critical business context to
the core communication experience in order to collaborate and
communicate more efficiently. Integration with LinkedIn will also help
users monitor their broader professional network right within Notes, via
a feed of Network Updates from LinkedIn. Users will also be able to look
up the LinkedIn profiles of e-mail senders or other Lotus Notes contacts
and utilize LinkedIn people search without leaving the inbox they use
all day.

Lotus Connections - By providing
direct access to LinkedIn, Lotus Connections lets its users effortlessly
interact and communicate with the 34 million professionals on LinkedIn
and allows users to access LinkedIn public profiles while using Lotus
Connections. The LinkedIn profile information will augment existing
Lotus Connections profiles to include a wide range of information on
past experiences, educational background, skills, passions and
qualifications to help facilitate collaboration.

LotusLive.com - By integrating
with IBM's LotusLive.com users will be able to access LinkedIn's
professional network and then instantly collaborate with the
professionals they need to work with using LotusLive services such as
real-time web conferencing and file sharing.

The LinkedIn integration will be available at no additional cost to
Lotus users. The partnership is non-exclusive.
