The suit involved several high-end cosmetics makers, including Chanel and Christian Dior, for allegedly price-fixing.
Consumers who bought department store cosmetics in the United States from May 29, 1994, through July 16, 2003, are eligible for a free gift.
About $175 million worth of free products will be distributed through MondayJan. 26 or until supplies last. No receipts are needed.
Customers simply need to sign their names to get a gift of one item per person. About 22 products such as body lotions, creams, shower gel and mascara, from companies like Givenchy, Lancome, Coty and Clinique, are involved.
More than a dozen department stores, including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Gottschalks, Dillard's and Bloomingdale's, are involved in the settlement.
In the Tri-Cities, Macy's has an area near the luggage department to handle the giveaway. For more information, visit
