DDCT received orders for its proprietary tags and readers for the express purpose of identification and trace back systems. The company said it has increased its marketing efforts in the domestic China market and has secured at least 25 projects, either for trials or actual orders in China. This business is for readers, tags and labels include personnel management, military asset management, mining, warehousing, fleet management, food safety and pharmaceuticals. This increased activity is a strong indication of mass adoption of RFID despite the global economic situation. Advanced ID expects to recognize revenue from these orders in the 2009 first quarter. As previously announced, Advanced ID and DDCT entered into definitive agreements to acquire DDCT in a transaction expected to be completed by the end of the month. Dan Finch, President and CEO, said, "We are very pleased that DDCT continues to experience strong demand for its products, despite a challenging economic environment. Although it has taken longer than anticipated to complete the acquisition, the parties have been working closely together in the interim. China continues to be a leader in the adoption of RFID systems. Our offices and production facility are now open in Shenzhen and we are ramping up for revenue in the China market as well as in the export market. While several RFID markets are experiencing a slowdown, we are not waiting for the market to come to us. As of January 1, we are making inroads into several RFID sectors into such industries as global pet recovery, livestock tracing and high value asset control. China is by far the engine that will lead us into profitability in 2009 and our goals are growth and profitability not only for China but also for our other companies." Sammul Su, President of DDCT, said, "We continue to see strong interest from customers for our proprietary products. We believe that the combination of the two companies will further drive growth as our readers and tags will be the best in the market and our support system of engineers, database and software technicians will enable our customers and AID customers to quickly adopt the technology into their businesses. These orders are just the beginning of our efforts and China; we also are working with the AID and P/L team to integrate both of our products into world markets. There is no doubt that our business model is the best method for RFID companies. Within a few years, we expect that the AID and DDCT labels will be leaders in this business." Advanced ID Corp. is a complete solutions provider in the RFID market with a focus on the tire management industry.
