"The agreement is to implement its software at 38 Healthscope hospitals and the value would be spread over the next three years" a company press release here said. The company signed a similar agreement in December 2007, valued at USD 9.27 million, for issuing software licences and support services for Healthscope, which also included pilot implementations of iSoft's web-based patient administration solution at two hospitals, the release said. Following the success of the pilot projects, iSoft will start implementation of these projects in Healthscope's remaining hospitals, it said. "Given the marked improvements in feature and function from iSoft's web-based patient administration solution experienced at the two pilot installations, we have elected to roll out the solution to all our hospitals," Healthscope's Group Chief Information Officer Dougall McBurnie said. The implementation services covered under the latest agreement include project management, software installation, system configuration, training and migrating medical records, the release added.
