Meralco's new pres to focus on better customer service

customer services will be the main agenda and focus of newly
elected MANILA ELECTRIC COMPANY (Meralco) president Jose Ping
de Jesus. De Jesus, who will assume office on February 1, said
he will focus on the "search for opportunities of improving
service to Meralco's millions of subscribers and to bring
Meralco closer to, and better understood by its customers."

* In order to have a good relationship with consumers, De
Jesus said, it was imperative for Meralco to help them better
understand its operation.

* "It will make their jobs easier if consumers are aware how
things are working within the company," De Jesus stressed.
