Dr. Zamber's appointment follows the recent appointment of Edgar P. Trotter, Ph.D. to Victory Energy's Board of Directors. The Corporation's Board now includes three independent directors along with Victory Energy Chairman, President and CEO Jon Fullenkamp.
Mr. Fullenkamp stated, "Dr. Zamber has had extensive involvement in business ventures across multiple industries including management of early stage and developmental companies and restructuring of established companies. As a successful businessman and investor, as well as a practicing medical doctor and a humanitarian, Dr. Zamber is highly respected across numerous fields. A board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Zamber restructured and expanded a successful medical and surgical practice where he has been owner and president for over a decade. The Eye Clinic of Fairbanks (ECF) is a private, full service eye care practice based in Fairbanks, Alaska and serving the entire Alaska interior.
Dr. Zamber has applied his medical skills to work as a humanitarian, providing treatment and prevention for blinding eye conditions in underserved regions of the world. He and his wife are the founders of International Vision Quest (IVQ) a non-profit organization providing free eye care to needy men, women and children in developing countries. Through IVQ, Dr. Zamber has personally provided care and performed thousands of sight-saving and sight restoring surgeries in Ecuador, Nepal, Malawi and Costa Rica. IVQ also provides support for children's homes and orphanages to include funding for healthcare, education and basic life necessities. Dr. Zamber's international philanthropic service was recently featured in Ophthalmology Management magazine.
Dr. Zamber received his bachelor's degree with high honors from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree with honors from the University of Washington.
