Wincanton distributes all the HJ Heinz brands including HP and Amoy. Based at the HJ Heinz national distribution center in Wigan, Wincanton will continue to manage the 350,000sqft automated warehouse and provide HJ Heinz with a fleet supported by the wider Wincanton network.
Richard Burnett, business unit director at Wincanton, said: "Managing the supply chain for HJ Heinz's products needs to be based on managing varying consumer demands and seasonal peaks, which can see volume fluctuations of up to 40%. Ours is not a static relationship, but one where we are constantly looking for innovations to drive the business forward."
