FiberTower appoints new SVP of sales and marketing

Feb 18, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- FTWR | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- FiberTower Corporation, a wireless backhaul services provider, has appointed Patrick Coughlin as its new senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Mr Coughlin has more than 15 years of experience in sales leadership, including executing contracts with major wireless carriers, fiber service providers and enterprise customers.

Mr Coughlin was previously vice president of sales and marketing at RCNMetro (formerly Neon Communications and Globix Corporation) since January of 2006. Prior to that position, he served as senior director of sales at Neon from October of 2001 until December of 2005. He also served as a senior account executive with Neon and other telecom companies, including AT&T and USTelecenters.

Kurt Wagenen, president and CEO of FiberTower, said: "We believe that Patrick's extensive experience and impressive track record leading carrier, wholesale and enterprise sales and marketing efforts will help us more fully leverage existing and new customer relationships as well as our nationwide spectrum assets."
