In this first block, 60 tickets will be available for each performance of "Macbeth" and "Cyrano de Bergerac" in May and June. With this online-only offer, which sold out in 2008, you can purchase balcony tickets in the Festival Theatre for the $29 rate. Pricing is based on Canadian currency, which amounts to about $23.34 in U.S. dollars.
There's just one caveat -- you won't know where your seats are until after you've paid. TiXX seats are randomly selected from the A, B and C sections of the balcony, giving everyone an equal chance to get the best seats available.
To buy tickets, go to www.shakespearetixx.com. Pick a show. Pay for your tickets. On checkout, you'll find out which seats you've been allocated.
You can also buy TiXX seats at www.stratfordshakespearefestival.com, under the "buy" option.
Two more blocks of specially priced tickets will be released on June 1 and Aug. 4 and will include $29 seats for "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in addition to "Macbeth" and "Cyrano de Bergerac." Tickets for these seats range in price and can cost as much $89 Canadian, or roughly $71.43 American.
