Lehman Trikes is proud to announce that John Lehman, the founder of Lehman Trikes, has been chosen as an inductee into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame. John receives this distinguished award for his principles, leadership, and charitable work, as well as the large impact he has had on the motorcycling world with the creation and successful manufacturing of today's modern trike. He will be honored at the annual induction breakfast ceremony during the Sturgis Rally on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 and will join the ranks of the many illustrious men and women already inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame honors the men and women who have dedicated much of their lives to improving, promoting and advancing the great sport and lifestyle of motorcycling. "There couldn't be a more humble man to receive this award" said Ken Hines, Executive Vice President of Lehman Trikes, "we are extremely proud of John and his accomplishments. He's a kind-hearted guy and is respected throughout the motorcycle industry."

John Lehman developed the first modern trike in 1984 for his wife, Linda, who was reluctant to ride on two wheels with one of their children on the back. It wasn't long before the orders came pouring in and John's idea became a business. Today, Lehman Trikes is publicly-traded and has created a new industry of three-wheeled motorcycles in North America.
