(PINKSHEETS: FMNJ | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) (FRANKFURT: FMJ) Chairman and CEO, William Petty, clarifies the value of accepting common stock in another public company as payment for Franklin's Oil & Gas Division assets. "I want our shareholders to know that the proposal currently under consideration would result in Franklin Mining shareholders receiving equity in the company that acquires our energy investments. While we have not yet determined the number of shares we will receive, the Board of Directors is committed to distributing whatever is received to current shareholders on a proportionate basis. The result would be that our shareholders would then hold shares in both companies and continue to benefit from the 2007 and 2008 investments Franklin Mining made in energy."
