The program will consist of studies at Sprott-Shaw's Kelowna campus, followed by practicum studies in Vancouver and concluded with self-directed learning via the internet. Upon completion of the program, Jamaican students will receive industry certification recognized by the American Hotel and Lodging Association Education Institute (AHLA-EI), a non-profit organization with thousands of member hotels around the world. Graduates will possess practical industry knowledge and an AHLA-EI certification, which is recognized by most major hotel chains, thereby substantially increasing their employment prospects.
