Air Canada releases February traffic results
AIDIF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Air Canada has reported its traffic results, on a consolidated basis
with Jazz, for February 2009.
Consolidated revenue passenger miles for the month dropped by 10.5%
compared to February 2008, while available seat miles fell by 11.0%,
resulting in a load factor of 79.6%, an increase of 0.4 percentage
points.
The airline's mainline revenue passenger miles (excluding Jazz) for
February 2009 showed a decrease of 9.8% compared to the same period of
last year, while available seat miles dropped by 11.1%, resulting in a
mainline load factor of 80.7%, a rise of 1.2 percentage points.
Jazz, an airline from which Air Canada purchases regional capacity,
reported a drop in revenue passenger miles of 17.7% in February 2009
compared to February 2008, while available seat miles fell by 9.7%,
resulting in a decrease in load factor of 6.8 percentage points at
69.6%.
