Wincanton has secured a long-term contract renewal and a further extension of its 13-year partnership with US-based food company HJ Heinz. Wincanton has also been awarded a new three-year contract by Panasonic to manage its nationwide outbound transport from its national distribution center in Northampton.
Wincanton has said that the three-year extension of the transport contract and the four-year extension of the warehousing contract with HJ Heinz confirm its position as the primary national supplier of warehousing and transportation services for all of the HJ Heinz brands including HP and Amoy. Under the contract, Wincanton will continue to manage HJ Heinz's 350,000sqft warehouse.
Under the new contract with Panasonic, Wincanton will manage the UK distribution of Panasonic goods to both high street and independent retailers each year using its wider transport network.
Graeme McFaull, CEO of Wincanton, said: "The scale, flexibility and efficiency of our national transport infrastructure gives Wincanton a market-leading platform for the delivery of operational and environmental benefits for our customers. We are delighted to be expanding our relationship with Panasonic and building further on our long-standing partnership with HJ Heinz."
