ENSW | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- VAI (Vormittag Associates, Inc.), a provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for the distribution, manufacturing, retail and service industries, and an IBM Premier Business partner, announced that D.H. Litter has selected the software developer to implement its S2K Enterprise for Distribution.

According to a release, the software solution will provide D.H. Litter with immediate access to key, real-time company information including inventory levels, purchasing requirements and sales analysis. This streamlined access to information will help the company to manage its growing operations efficiently.

D.H. Litter, a specialty chemical distributor, has been serving the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic United States since 1921, and has grown into one of the largest regional chemical distributors in North America.

"S2K is the perfect fit for D.H. Litter," said Gregg Carroll, Treasurer, D.H. Litter. "We needed an enterprise grade software system that was easy to use and provided immediate access to information that could be seamlessly shared between departments. VAI provided the solution, and the fact that it runs on an IBM Power Systems platform meant that we could run the application on our existing server."

Vince Taravella, Account Executive, VAI, commented, "VAI understands the chemical distribution business and, as such, was able to advise D.H. Litter on best practices meant to streamline its operations. With S2K for Distribution--a flexible package that is easily tailored to meet the needs of a growing business--we are confident that D.H. Litter will reap a substantial return on its technology investment."
