Sales for the fiscal second quarter totalled USD4.0m, a 38% decrease compared to USD6.4m in the prior year period. The net loss was USD307,000 (USD0.11 per share), down from the net income of USD433,000 (USD0.15 per share) in the second quarter of fiscal 2008.
The company's year-to-date sales for the six months ended 1 March 2009 were USD10.0m compared to USD12.4m in the previous year. The net loss was USD206,000 (USD0.07 per share), as against the net income of USD819,000 (USD0.29 per share) in the first six months of fiscal 2008.
