JAPAN'S KADOKAWA GROUP TO ESTABLISH GAME SOFTWARE SUBSIDIARY

TOKYO, Mar 27, 2009 (AsiaPulse via COMTEX) --
KDWKF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Kadokawa Group Holdings Inc.
(TSE:9477) next month will create a company for developing and
marketing game software based on content owned by the
publishing group.

Capitalized at 250 million yen (US$2.5 million), Kadokawa
Games Ltd. is to be a fully owned subsidiary and headed by
former Tecmo Ltd. President Yoshimi Yasuda, according to
Thursday's announcement. The company will be established April
1 .

Group publishing firms Kadokawa Shoten Publishing Co., Ascii
Media Works Inc. and Enterbrain Inc. have been separately
producing game software and other such products.

With Kadokawa Games, the holding company aims to improve its
marketing and game production abilities. It also intends to
bolster ties with game software developers and retailers
outside its group.
