Japan's Kadokawa to set up game software unit on April 1

(TSE:9477) next month will create a company for developing and
marketing game software based on content owned by the
publishing group. Capitalized at 250 million yen (US$2.5
million), KADOKAWA GAMES LTD. is to be a fully owned subsidiary
and headed by former TECMO LTD. President Yoshimi Yasuda,
according to Thursday's announcement.

* The company will be established April 1.

* Group publishing firms KADOKAWA SHOTEN PUBLISHING CO.,
ASCII MEDIA WORKS INC. and ENTERBRAIN INC. have been separately
producing game software and other such products.
