Srinivasan, who is also the managing director of Sundaram-Clayton Ltd, succeeds K V Kamath, CII said in a statement Friday.
He is a member of the Prime Minister's Council on Trade and Industry and has held positions as president of The Automotive Research Association of India and president, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, the chamber said.
Further, Jubilant Organosys Co-Chairman and Managing Director Hari S Bhartia has been elected as the Vice-President of the industry body.
A chemical engineering graduate from IIT, Delhi, Bhartia has been a member in several educational and science and technology programmes of the Government of India.
