As a Certified Partner in the Microsoft Partner Program, ClearOne has been releasing audio solutions that support users of Microsoft's unified communications platform. The CHAT 70 is the company's newest audio product to be qualified as Optimised for Microsoft Office Communicator, following the CHAT 170 group conferencing speakerphone, announced in January 2009.
According to the company, the CHAT 70 personal speakerphone connects via USB to laptops or PCs for hands-free audio communication. It delivers full-duplex capability for clear communications and provides convenient, high-quality audio for users of Office Communicator 2007.
The speakerphone contains HDConference, ClearOne's suite of high-performance audio technologies that features full duplex, echo cancellation, noise reduction and adaptive modeling. In addition, it delivers plug-and-play operation, requiring no software or drivers to be installed.
The CHAT 70 has a suggested retail price of USD159.99 and will begin shipping before the end of March 2009.
