Both appointments are effective from 1 May 2009 and both will report to OdysseyRe's CEO, Andrew A Barnard.
Young has been with OdysseyRe for 12 years, most recently holding overall responsibility for the company's US Insurance and London Market Divisions, serving as CEO of Global Insurance and London Market Operations for Odyssey America Reinsurance Corporation, OdysseyRe's principal operating subsidiary. Previously he managed Odyssey America's London Market Division for more than six years.
Wacek has been with the company for 11 years and is currently executive vice president of OdysseyRe and president and chief risk officer of Odyssey America, as well as leading OdysseyRe's Americas Division.
