NOTICE TEXT: Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command Lackland AFB - 37th Contracting Squadron The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with INSTRON on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) due to proprietary data and compatibility with existing equipment. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. In accordance with FAR 6.301(d) the Government will consider any proposal received by the due date for this combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. The request is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-32 and DFARS Change Notice 20090115.
