PowerRating -- Fortis Commodity Derivatives precious metal traders Gerry Shubert and Stephen Pender resigned from the bank to join International Assets Holding Corp. (IAAC), sources familiar with the situation said Tuesday.
Fortis said in a statement that Shubert, head of precious metals, and Pender, a senior dealer, had resigned.
The bank said John King, global head of base and precious metals, would expand his role to cover Shubert's remit.
Belgian financial firm Fortis (FORB.BT) is voting on the planned sale to France's BNP Paribas SA (BNP.FR).
