The Q26 Elite features QSC technology and supports GPS. The Q26 Elite, like several 3GPP-based products of the Q26 Family, is automotive grade and for extreme environmental conditions.
"We have been working closely with Wavecom for six years using their Wireless CPU devices in a host of different Multi-Tech applications," said Jeff Davis, VP of Engineering for Multi-Tech. "The Q26 Elite is a natural fit for us because the form factor is the same as the other Wavecom Q26 products, so we can design our hardware once to enable either CDMA or GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPA connectivity."
"Wavecom remains fully committed to supporting the most pervasive standards, ranging from GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSPA through CDMA and satellite-based wireless communications technologies," said Anders Franzen, President of Wavecom, Inc. "Now more than ever, M2M solution providers with applications on CDMA networks are looking for support, and we are pleased to be able to offer it with our new Q26 Elite."
Wavecom is a provider of embedded wireless technology for M2M (machine-to-machine) communication and provides a range of GSM/GPRS, CDMA, EDGE and 3G Wireless CPUs; programmable processors which also act as wireless modules or wireless modems.
