HP to include Borland's Open Application Lifecycle Management portfolio

Apr 10, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- EDS | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Borland Software has announced that HP will include Borland's Open Application Lifecycle Management portfolio of products, such as Borland StarTeam, Borland CaliberRM, and Borland Together in its software delivery infrastructure.

Borland said that this strengthens the partnership originally formed between Borland and Electronic Data Systems, which HP acquired in August 2008.

In addition to using Borland's application lifecycle management products internally, the agreement provides HP the opportunity to resell Borland's portfolio and use the products to deliver application development services to clients around the world.

Erik Prusch, acting president and CEO of Borland, said: "We are pleased that Borland will continue its strategic role in helping HP deliver world-class software and services.

"HP is known for its innovation and high quality products, and Borland's technology helps them capture requirements, manage change, and deliver software reliably on a global scale.
