BRIEF: 3 top Dallas Morning News executives leaving as parent company A.H. Belo restructures
BLC | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Three high-ranking executives are leaving The Dallas Morning News.
Executive vice president Evelyn Miller will depart June 1. Her accounting responsibilities and some other duties will be moved over to the newspaper's parent company, A.H. Belo Corporation, as part of an organizational restructuring.
Laura Gordon, senior vice president of marketing, will leave July 1. Fran Wills, senior vice president of interactive and classified sales, will take over Gordon's responsibilities.
Darryl Thornton, vice president of human resources, will also depart June 1. The News' human resources department will merge with A.H. Belo's human resources department.
The announcement of the three employees' departure came the week after companywide layoffs in which 200 positions were eliminated.
A.H. Belo's stock rose 39 cents to $2.12 a share in Thursday trading.
