Lakeland names Duane W Albro to board

LAKE | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Lakeland Industries Inc (NYSE:LAKE), a manufacturer of industrial
protective clothing for industry, municipalities, healthcare and to
first responders on the US federal, state and local levels, announced
on 23 April the appointment of Duane W Albro to the company's board of
directors, effective 17 April 2009.

The addition of Albro reportedly brings the company's total number of
directors to seven, a majority of which are defined as independent in
accordance with Nasdaq regulations.

Albro currently serves as president and CEO of Warwick Valley Telephone
Co (NYSE:WWVY). He has previously served in executive and operational
management capacities of increasing responsibility for companies such
as NYNEX and Bell Atlantic. He has also performed turnarounds for
private equity investors including Carlyle Group and Columbia Capital
Management among others.

He has also served on the White House Advisory Council on Technology in
Education and provided testimony to Congress on the benefits of
technology used in education.
