Apollo Global to acquire BPP Holdings

Apr 30, 2009 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- APOL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Apollo Global, Inc., an 80.1%-owned investments subsidiary of US-based higher educational programs and services provider Apollo Group, Inc., intends to acquire BPP Holdings plc, a UK-based provider of professional education and training.

Apollo Global has approached the Board of BPP to discuss the potential acquisition of all of the outstanding shares of BPP at GBP6.20 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately GBP316.87 million.

Credit Suisse Group is advising Apollo Global on the transaction.
