Motorcycle sales during the month stood at 53,325 units compared with 58,237 in April last year, down 8.4 per cent, the company said in a statement.
Scooters sales were also down by 1.12 per cent at 18,819 units as against 19,034 units in April 2008, it said.
The increase in overall two-wheeler sales was due to a 36.76 percent jump in moped sales, which were at 30,862 units as against 22,567 units in the same month last year.
Exports declined marginally to 10,134 units in April this year as against 10,213 units in the corresponding period last year.
