The company has released the financial result for the first quarter of 2009, posting total revenues up 100 percent from one year prior to 27.3 million U.S. dollars, and net income up 23.7 percent to 6.7 million dollars.
It was predicted that total revenues for the second quarter would range from 29.2 million to 32.2 million dollars, up 7-18 percent from the previous quarter.
Total revenue is expected to reach from 141 million to 157 million dollars for the full year of 2009. Excluding share-based compensation expenses and amortization of intangible assets (non-GAAP), net income is expected to range between 49 million to 61 million dollars.

VisionChina also announced to expand exclusive agency contract with Guangzhou Metro TV Media Company to increase the advertising hours from six hours to eight hours a day for a period of two years.
VisionChina's advertising agency business now covers bus networks of 27 major Chinese cities and five subway lines of Beijing, and is exclusive agent for the subway television media in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
